Audition Information

Fully completed and submitted applications are required to receive an audition date and time. 

In-person auditions will be held in FEBRUARY 2026 (see guidelines below).

DANCE GUIDELINES:
All applicants participate in a group audition. You will also need a 90 second dance solo in any style of your choice to be performed live at the audition.

Part 1 of Group Audition: BALLET  
The group audition is conducted as follows:

  • Applicants participate in short ballet exercises at the barre to warm up.
  • The teacher will demonstrate center exercises and answer questions to clarify.
  • Applicants will perform a similar combination in small groups.

 

PART 2 of Group Audition: CONTEMPORARY 
The group audition is conducted as follows:

  • Applicants will learn one contemporary combination.
  • The teacher will demonstrate this combination, clarify the movement, and answer questions as needed.
  • Applicants will perform a similar combination in small groups.

 

PART 3 of Group Audition: JAZZ
The group audition is conducted as follows:

  • Applicants will learn one jazz combination.
  • The teacher will demonstrate this combination, clarify the movement, and answer questions as needed.
  • Applicants will perform a similar combination in small groups.

 

PART 4: SOLO & INTERVIEW

  • Applicant will perform one choreographed solo in any style.
  • Solo dance should highlight the applicant’s strengths, musicality, and performance quality.
  • Solo dance must be 90 seconds in length.
  • Applicant must have music ready to play on their phone.
  • Applicant will have a brief interview following their solo.
