The Fine Arts Academy will be a tuition-free public school program, providing students across Arizona with an incredible opportunity to pursue their artistic passions. Open to all grade levels, the academy will welcome 500 students in its first year, with admission based on an audition process. Both in-district and out-of-district students are eligible, making this a statewide program.
What sets the Fine Arts Academy apart is its unique integration of the arts into core subjects—history, algebra, English, and science will be taught through the lens of the arts, creating a dynamic, immersive learning experience.
Designed for students who are serious about the arts as a profession, the academy is intended for those who plan to pursue college or career in the arts after high school.
Students will have the opportunity to select one of eight specialized academies:
Academy of Cinematography & Film
Academy of Dance Performance
Academy of Instrumental Performance
Academy of Music Production & Recording
Academy of Theater – Acting
Academy of Theater - Set Design & Theater Production
Academy of Visual Arts
Academy of Vocal Performance
These programs will offer a comprehensive arts education, combining hands-on learning with mentorship from industry professionals, equipping students with the skills and experience needed to excel in their artistic careers.

It serves as a north star for our learning communities as they craft academic and work-based learning opportunities that prepare students for whatever their future holds.
